Why families book
Because pets are family, and their portraits deserve more than a folder on your phone.
Inspired by Mia, every session is built around preserving the bond you never want to forget.
Our mission
About
Distinguished Paws Studio was inspired by Mia, Jeremys cat, and the realization that the photographs we assume we will take someday can become the ones we wish we had. That experience shaped a calm, guided portrait service designed to preserve each pets personality and the connection they share with their family.
The approach is structured and patient, with an acclimation-first pace for shy, energetic, reactive, senior, and multi-pet households.

Services
Sessions are designed to feel calm and personal, not rushed. We photograph your pet in a meaningful location, guide you through the process, and help you choose professionally finished artwork that fits your home and your story.

On-location sessions tailored to your pet's pace, personality, and comfort level. Ideal for dogs, cats, seniors, and pets who need a little extra patience.
Designed to live on your walls with a refined, timeless look — and planned as carefully as the portraits themselves.
Albums, folio and print boxes, and matted fine-art prints — thoughtfully designed so your images are easy to revisit.
For shy or reactive pets
A calm, acclimation-first approach with time to settle in.
For senior pets
Gentle legacy sessions focused on comfort and meaning.
For families
You can absolutely be in the portraits too — if you want to.
Designed around your pet's comfort
Every session is guided with patience, acclimation time, and a safety-first approach. We never force a stressed animal through a setup. If your pet needs a break, we take one. If they need the full session to warm up, that's okay too.
A calm, low-pressure approach with extra time built in. No rushing, no pressure.
Cat sessions are planned around familiarity and comfort, with an acclimation-first pace.
Sessions at your barn or a location your horse already knows and trusts.
Gentle pacing and cautious handling, guided by your pet's comfort and energy.
Planning is tailored to each animal's needs. We work through introductions, pacing, and groupings so everyone stays comfortable.
The experience
Every step is designed to reduce pressure, create better portraits, and help you end up with finished artwork you will actually enjoy seeing every day.
A calm, practical conversation about your pet, any concerns, and what you want to preserve. This is where we decide if the experience is the right fit.
We choose the right location, talk through pacing, and plan around your pet's personality, comfort, and any special needs.
Your session is structured and low-pressure, with time for your pet to settle in. No rushing just patience and genuine moments.
After your session, we meet in person or on Zoom to view your images together. You'll choose favourites and well design your framed artwork, albums, or keepsakes during this appointment.
Your finished pieces are professionally produced and delivered ready to enjoy in your home.
Why Distinguished Paws Studio
From session planning through artwork selection, every part of the experience is designed to make the process easier for you, respectful of your pet, and focused on creating something worth living with.
The goal is simple: create refined portraits and finished artwork you will be grateful to have.
Your pet's personality and your bond stay at the center of every image, so the final artwork feels personal instead of generic.
You get clear guidance before, during, and after the session, with a pace that respects your pet and keeps the experience low-pressure.
These portraits are designed to live on your walls and in your albums, not disappear into a phone gallery.
